How Ezekiel points to Christ
The new heart and new spirit of Ezekiel 36:26 are given through Christ by the Holy Spirit. The vision of the valley of dry bones (ch. 37) is a prophecy of resurrection. The new temple (40–48) points to Christ as the temple and to his body, the Church.
How Ezekiel begins
1Now it came to pass in the thirtieth year, in the fourth month, in the fifth day of the month, as I was among the captives by the river of Chebar, that the heavens were opened, and I saw visions of God.
