How Deuteronomy points to Christ

Moses promises a Prophet like himself (Deut. 18:15), fulfilled in Jesus (Acts 3:22). The Shema (6:4-5) is quoted by Jesus as the greatest commandment. The curses of the law which Israel could not avoid are borne by Christ (Gal. 3:13).

How Deuteronomy begins

1These be the words which Moses spake unto all Israel on this side Jordan in the wilderness, in the plain over against the Red sea, between Paran, and Tophel, and Laban, and Hazeroth, and Dizahab.
